Collect US Silver Coins
There are quite a few coins in circulation in America, and of course, US Silver Coins are among the most popular. This is not per chance of course, and as a collector, you might find that silver coins truly are the right path for you. However, before you choose any new hobby, it will be important for you to learn about these coins and why they are so popular.
US Silver Coins are well known for their engraved messages, in addition to an engraving of lady liberty. In addition to that the American Eagle is also seen on many of these coins, which has become a staple of modern currency. In one claw the eagle holds an olive branch to represent peace, and in the other a set of arrows.
There are many collectors out there that have noted the high level of detail in these coins, and they are actually quite impressed. That being the case, it is no surprise that so many have decided to hold onto them rather than putting them back into circulation. These actions, while sensible, have rather easily rendered the coins rare, which increases the value significantly. So with that in mind, let's talk about a few of the coins on the market.
Silver dollars are the most commonly collected coins in America, and they bear the nickname of cartwheel. There are two different designs, and they are each minted with 90% pure silver and 10% copper. If you ask any collector, you will find they have at least one.
The Morgan Silver Dollar is another popular coin, and these are a bit older. These are considered to be the best among Silve Dollars, having been minted in the 1800's. They are still being circulated, and they have some of the greatest detail of any coin minted in the United States Treasury.
Finally, we have the American Silver Eagle, and this happens to be the official silver bullion coin for America. It's original minting was in 1986, and it's typical face value is one dollar. Certified by the US mint, the coin also has a proof version, along with an uncirculated version for collectors. The minting is performed at three different locations, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and of course, West Point.
There are many valuable coins in the world, and they are not aged so far as other coins from other civilizations on earth, but they are very nice, very detailed, and perfect for any collection.
